The Buckingham Murders

The storyline follows Jasmeet Bhamra, a British-Indian detective mourning the loss of her child, who is assigned to investigate the murder of a 10-year-old boy in Buckinghamshire.
The film had its global premiere on October 14, 2023, at the 67th BFI London Film Festival and is set to release on September 13, 2024.
Thangalaan
Another major release this month is Thangalan, featuring Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith, this action-adventure film is based on the true story of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and the exploitation endured by its workers during British exploration and looting.
Vikram is set to portray five different characters in this film, which also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Pasupathy, Harikrishnan, Arjun Anbudan, and Preeti Karan.
Produced under Studio Green and Neelam Productions by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, Thangalan promises to be a visual and emotional rollercoaster.
Emergency
Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency is another film generating a lot of buzz. This Hindi-language biographical political action thriller delves into the events during the Indian Emergency under the leadership of Indira Gandhi, portrayed by Ranaut.
She not only stars in the film but also directs and co-produces it. The film features Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, along with Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik.
Principal photography for Emergency took place from July 2022 to January 2023. The film is scheduled to release on September 6, 2024.
